My New Favourite Photo
Call it youthful exuberance, call it the joy of Joga Bonito, or the cameraderie of sport, Total Fan-dom, or just plain old Dutch (or at least Rotterdam-ish) hospitality: this is an awesome snap which says as at least as much about the game - indeed, possibly, about the human condition - as any FIFA Fair Play advert.

This photo has seen some serious time on US sports sites with the kid photo-shopped into gear of various teams (most often the Red Sox), but this does appear to be the original.
He bears a certain resemblance to my son, who would never dream of such a thing (hand gestures in Italy being completely different).
